Welcome to Steel Away! We’re a four-season cottage rental business on the North Shore of Prince Edward Island, Canada. Located at the tip of Queens Point, facing East on Tracadie Bay, our convenient location is only 20 minutes from Charlottetown and less than 5 from the National Park. Spend your downtime watching Osprey, Bald Eagles, Heron and Foxes while listening to songbirds and the dull crash of North Shore breakers. At night, the stars and moon are incredible. No matter what time of day or year, we’ve made this place an incredible sanctuary of serenity. Enjoy walking around the Point along the beach, take your bikes and ride the paved bike path along the shore through the National Park, take our SUP or the double kayaks out for a paddle. In the winter, fat bikes or cross-country skiing on the frozen Bay provide unique ways to exercise, followed by soaking in the hot tub or sweating in the barrel sauna.

The Steel Away Property is an ideal launching site for kayaks, SUP’s, and canoes to explore Tracadie Bay, Winter Bay and Winter River, or the dunes at Dalvay National Park (please stay off the actual sand dunes).
Located only 7 minutes from the Dalvay entrance to the National Park, you can experience the North Shore coastal views on a 10km designated biking lane that runs the length of the Park.
Our off-season guests can snowshoe, fat bike, cross-country ski, or skate on the Bay depending on conditions. After a day of outdoor activities, each unit has a private hot tub and access to a shared barrel sauna (reserve your time) to help ease tired muscles. Exercise is not required to enjoy the hot tub or sauna :)
Guests also have access to a SUP and two double kayaks. The bay is a great place for paddling, but the wind can come out of nowhere, so please ensure Devin is aware of your aquatic intentions. Life jackets are required at all times.
